"Pat" Thomas, age 78, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, July 13th, 2010 at West View Manor Nursing Center in Wooster following a period of declining health. Services will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster with Pastor Ron Frizzel officiating followed by interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to either: Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster or Wooster Church Of The Nazarene Childrens Care Dept. 3100 Oak Hill Rd., Wooster. She was born in Wooster, Ohio on July 14, 1931 to Wayne M. and Evelyn (Piatt) Gault and has been a Wooster resident for all of her life. She worked as Head Child Care Supervisor in the Nursery Dept. at Church of The Saviour in Wooster for over 25 years; a member of the Wooster Church of The Nazarene and has devoted her whole life with caring for children in many capacities. She is survived by 2 sons, Jerry (Joy) Thomas of Wooster and Danny Thomas of Richmond, Va.; 5 grandchildren, Chastity (Shel) Banda of Austin, TX., Jeremiah (Lindsey) Thomas of Wooster, Jamie (Jennifer) Thomas of Doylestown, Ohio, Joshua (Morgan) Thomas and Scott Thomas all of Richmond, Va.;a sister, Jonalyn G. Smith of Wooster; brother-in-law, Daniel Steiner of Milford, Ohio and a very close friend, Ida Mae Holland of Wooster. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Michael "Mike" Thomas and a sister, Edith "Ruth" Steiner.
